Professor Anna Maria Geretti (MD, PhD, FRCPath, DHMSA) is an academic clinician specialising in HIV, viral hepatitis, antiviral therapy, drug resistance, and immunisations for people living with HIV. She is Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, practices at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (North-Mid) and consults for the National Institute for Infectious Diseases Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome. With over 300 publications, her research spans clinical, laboratory and epidemiological studies, including collaborations with the World Health Organization, fieldwork in Africa and pharmaceutical drug development. She contributes to national and international guidelines and policies and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections (BMJ Group).
