The Facilitating Education on Stigma and Discrimination - Train the Trainer Program is designed to provide targeted education for health care providers on reducing stigma and discrimination experienced by the patient community in the Asian Region.
The objectives of this program are to highlight the issues of stigma and discrimination in different healthcare settings and from different perspectives; to identify stigmatizing attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that are commonly used by HCPs, and how these have an impact in PLWHIV; and to provide key communication and language strategies for the elimination of stigma and discrimination.
The content will be designed in collaboration with the program directors, the appointed members, and VE’s scientific managers. This will be an onsite face-to-face meeting with 20 key local experts who will join as local faculty members. This program will include a one-day program with activities including keynote lectures, roundtable discussion group discussion. Each activity will be delivered in local languages.
