Welcome

The International Workshop on COVID-19 Vaccines virtual event took place on 14-15 December 2022.

This workshop was designed to increase knowledge and facilitate discussion on the many aspects of vaccine development and implementation programs on a background of a firm understanding of pathogenesis and natural infection.

Our goal was to address the many scientific, social, and policy challenges in the totality of delivering an effective COVID-19 vaccine.

This global program aimed at increasing the competence of healthcare professionals (HCP) on the clinical relevance of the COVID-19 vaccine, with a focus on different patient populations (high comorbid burden, different ages, etc.).

This was done in the truly global context of the COVID-19 pandemic, considering regional differences in access to medications, health system capacity, and public measures.

The first three editions of this workshop were exceptionally successful in gathering experts and discussing the many aspects of vaccine development and rollout in 2021 and 2022.
