About the Program

The Facilitating Education on Stigma and Discrimination - Train the Trainer Program is designed to provide targeted education for health care providers on reducing stigma and discrimination experienced by the patient community in the Asian Region.

The objectives of this program are to highlight the issues of stigma and discrimination in different healthcare settings from different perspectives; identify stigmatizing attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that are commonly used by HCPs, and how they impact PLWHIV; and provide key communication and language strategies for the elimination of stigma and discrimination.

The 2023 Taiwan edition is the follow-up meeting for our first Train the Trainer Program, which was held on 3 December 2022. The content will be designed in collaboration with the program directors, the appointed members, and VE’s scientific managers. This will be an onsite face-to-face meeting and delivered in local languages.
