Dr. Friday Saidi is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist, holding a Masters in Medicine (Mmed) from the University Of Malawi, College Of Medicine. He contributes significantly to healthcare and academia as a Research Investigator at the University of North Carolina (UNC)'s Global HIV Clinical Trials Unit, UNC Project-Malawi. Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Saidi further serves as a consultant and honorary clinical lecturer in the department of OBGYN at Kamuzu Central Hospital’s maternity unit. He is a leading investigator for a trial evaluating the safety of long acting injectable Cabotegravir (CAB-LA) for HIV prevention among pregnant women and their infants and is a key member of the Malawi Ministry of Health CAB-LA Expert Committee.
