Nyako Cinthia as a young person living proudly with HIV (her/she). She serves as a Youth mentor working with Integrated development foundation (IDF) in which she educates those infected and affected by HIV and works with parents living in positive homes that are negative on how to treat and guide those infected. She also works as an Advocate with Sustainable Women organization (SWO). Through her public disclosure on her HIV status, she has been able to change some people’s perspective on what HIV is all about and also being the first young in Cameroon to do public disclosure.
Aside all this, she has worked with Cameroon Baptist convention under the HIV free project and the children momentum project as peer Educator, adolescent champion and a public speaker, this has greatly helped her and given her the title of the first Cameroonian Young person to boldly talk about their status.
