Alice Armstrong BScN, DTN, DTMH, MScIH is a HIV specialist on adolescents at the UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa Region Office. With over a decade of experience in adolescent health and HIV policy and programming, working at country and global levels. Trained as a specialist nurse in HIV and sexual and reproductive health, Alice has worked with adolescents in diverse clinical settings. For the past ten years, Alice has advocated for adolescent health and rights internationally, and has made significant contributions to adolescent health policies, working with WHO, Global Fund, as well as community-based groups and international NGOs. Alice holds a Master of Science Degree in international health, and her research has been published in numerous publications. She has led the development of key adolescent health documents, facilitated trainings in the region and globally and supported the development of tools all in an effort to drive the adolescent HIV agenda. She is passionate about meaningful engagement of adolescents and is particularly committed to working with and for adolescents living with and at high risk of HIV.
