Amy Killelea is the senior director of Health Systems & Policy at NASTAD (National Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS Directors), an organization that represents state and local governmental public health officials responsible for overseeing HIV and hepatitis programs. Amy leads NASTAD's policy and health systems portfolios, overseeing technical assistance for HIV and hepatitis health department programs and developing recommendations to inform state and federal policy. Areas of expertise include healthcare financing, data privacy and confidentiality, and medication access. Amy co-chairs the HIV Health Care Access Working Group, a coalition made up of over 100 HIV provider and consumer organizations, serves as a consumer liaison representative to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and serves on the American Bar Association’s HIV/AIDS Impact Project Committee. Prior to NASTAD, Amy worked as a senior fellow in Harvard Law School’s Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, conducting legal and regulatory analysis of federal health care reform, Medicaid, and private insurance. Amy received her B.A. from Smith College and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
