Dr. Beatriz González Aguilera graduated from the University of Cordoba (Spain). She did her sixth year in Chile in the framework of the Ibero-American academic exchange and mobility program (PIMA). She received her title of Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery in 2010. She graduated from the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital (Seville) in 2015 receiving the title of Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition. She did her external rotations at the University Hospital Center of Liège (Belgium) and her Official International Master in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER).
She works as specialist at the Virgen Macarena University Hospital in the “Diabetes Day Hospital”, as well as at the Quiron Hospital (Seville) and as a researcher and sub-researcher in clinical trials related to diabetes mellitus and metabolic diseases.
She’s a member of Scientific Societies such as SED (Spanish Diabetes Society), SEEN (Spanish Endocrinology Society), ESE (European Endocrinology Society). She has been granted with several awards such as Medtronic award for technological innovation presented at the XXVI SED Congress; Prize for the best oral communication in Nutrition at the 40th SAEDYN congress. SHIRE Scholarship for the best project in intestinal failure in the XX Congress of SANCYD. She participated in clinical trials of international relevance such as CREDENCE, DAPA CKD, STEP 4, FOCUS, I8-MC-GPGM.
