Boris Juelg, MD, PhD

Biography

Boris D. Juelg, MD PhD, is the Director of the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He is a member of the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard in Boston and serves as the associate director of the Harvard Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) clinical core. Dr. Juelg’s work links preclinical and clinical studies to identify and test the most promising immunological strategies to prevent and treat infectious diseases. He is specifically interested in passive and active immunization approaches using antibodies and novel vaccine candidates and his lab actively focusses on developing strategies to enhance antibody therapeutic efficacy. Dr. Juelg serves as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials that are testing such concepts and translating findings from the lab into the clinic.
