Dr. Carol Strong is an associate professor at the Department of Public Health, National Cheng Kung University in Tainan Taiwan. She holds a PhD in Health Behavior from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. As a behavior scientist, she is interested in the complexity of the human behavior. She also maintains a heavy emphasis on methodology and statistics in her research. Her area of study includes adolescent health, sexual health in men who have sex with men, and behavioral intervention. She has conducted research in HPV epidemiology in men who have sex with men and factors associated with infection. She is currently the principal investigator of a grant funded by the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology to develop a prediction-oriented adaptive intervention for adherence to pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV in men who have sex with men. Her other project includes monitoring and evaluating an integrated health service for sexually transmitted infections, sexualized drug use and PEP/PrEP delivery.
