Catherine Chappell, MD, MSc

Biography

Catherine Chappell, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. Dr. Chappell received her Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Texas Southwestern and a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh.  She has completed fellowships in Reproductive Infectious Diseases and Complex Family Planning. Dr. Chappell's research program focuses optimizing antiviral drugs for women of reproductive age and is specifically focused on the use of direct-acting antivirals for hepatitis C virus treatment in pregnancy.  Dr. Chappell also maintains a clinical practice in obstetrics, family planning and addiction medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
