Dr. Cheng Wang is an epidemiologist with an emphasis on promoting HIV/STD related healthy behavior change in high-risk population, particularly those in resource-limited settings. Specifically, his current research focuses on investigating the feasibility and acceptability of promoting syphilis self-testing in MSM. His methods include the innovative application of a crowdsourcing approach to distribute self-test kits. He is the director of the Department of STD Prevention at the Guangdong Provincial STD Control Center, and serve as an associate professor at the Dermatology Hospital/ Institute for Global Health and Sexually Transmitted Diseases of Southern Medical University. He completed his postdoc training at UNC Chapel Hill.
