Chioma Nnaji, MEd, MPH

Biography

For more than 20 years, Chioma Nnaji, MEd, MPH has worked in the HIV/AIDS field at the intersection of public health, racial justice and immigrant rights. Currently she serves as a Senior Program Director at the Multicultural AIDS Coalition (MAC) in Boston where she leads programming in community engaged research, capacity building trainings and community mobilization. Specifically, she founded and currently directs the Africans For Improved Access (AFIA) Program – an HIV/STI outreach, screening and navigation program engaging Black immigrants in Massachusetts. Her ongoing organizing with African immigrant communities has established a national voice advocating for the community and well-respected efforts in service delivery, research and civic engagement. This includes: leading partnerships to establish the National African Immigrant and Refugee HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis Awareness Day (NAIRHHA) and establishing the African Immigrant Health Research Consortium (AIHRC).
