Chishala Chabala, MBChB, MSc, MMed, is a Lecturer and Consultant Paediatrician at the University of Zambia, School of Medicine and the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia where he teaches, conducts research and provides clinical care. Additionally, he is a part-time faculty member at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has several years of clinical and research experience on Tuberculosis in children and adolescents. He co-leads a research group that conducts clinical research focusing on Tuberculosis, HIV, and pneumonia in children and has been an investigator in several multinational collaborative clinical trials. He has previously participated on paediatric national TB programme reviews in the African region and contributed to the guidelines’ development group of the WHO. He is the current Vice-Chair of the Child and Adolescent TB Working Group of the STOP TB Partnership administered by the WHO and is the Scientific Chair of the Adult Lung Health section of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.
