Christophe Rodriguez is professor in virology at University of Paris-Est-Creteil (France), works in the Department of microbiology and in the French national reference center for hepatitis B, C delta. He is head of NGS platform at the Henri Mondor Hospital and of the Medical Reference Laboratory for Metagenomics.
Specialized in viral adaptation he developed softwares to analyze NGS data for documentation of infections and prediction of outcome of patients (more than 10 patent) during its PhD. In 2017, he developed MetaMIC, a complete wet and dry metagenomics technology for diagnostic and research. This analysis is currently used in diagnostic routine, accredited for bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral pathogens according to the standard 15189 and used for more than 1500 diagnostic per year to explore complex infectious diseases. Its activity is now focused on the diagnostic of new pathogens, pathogens of unknown diseases or complex cases of resistance and also host exploration through transcriptomic data of Metagenomics He is the author of more than 100 publications.
