Chureeratana Bowonwatanuwong has been involved in caring for HIV-infected patients since the beginning of the epidemic. Since 1999, HIV research studies involving PMTCT and optimization antiretroviral treatment studies in adults. She was also the reference physician for participants in the Vaccine Trial of ALVAC-HIV and AIDSVAX B/E conducted in the eastern area of Thailand. She has co-authored papers published in international journals, and an academic committee member on antiretroviral therapy for the Thai Ministry of Public Health, and an Assistant Professor of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University, Thailand.
