Courtney Fletcher, PharmD

Biography

Courtney V. Fletcher, PharmD, is presently Dean, College of Pharmacy and Professor, Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

He is the Director of the Antiviral Pharmacology Laboratory at University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Fletcher received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (with honors) from the University of Wyoming, and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Fletcher has devoted his research and practice interests towards the clinical pharmacology of antiviral agents and has been funded continuously, as a principal investigator, by the NIH since 1993.

Dr. Fletcher has authored or co-authored more than 120 manuscripts in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a past member of the FDA Antiviral Drug Advisory Committee and recently completed a four-year term as a member of the NIH AIDS Discovery and Development of Therapeutics Study Section.  Dr. Fletcher is a member of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Panel on Clinical Practices for the Treatment of HIV Infection.
