Damaris Nyamweya is a young champion born and living with HIV. She supports Adolescents and Youth living with HIV through initiatives geared towards improving HIV health outcomes, eliminating stigma, and improving quality of life.
Having started her journey in the HIV management field in 2014 as a volunteer Peer Mentor, and is currently employed as an AGYW / OTZ champion, Peer Counselor, and ICT support at the Kenyatta National Hospital Comprehensive Care Center.
She is the President and Co-founder of Operation Triple Zero (OTZ), An Adolescent and youth-led initiative geared towards improving HIV health outcomes through its three key principles; Zero missed appointments, Zero missed drugs, and Zero viral load. OTZ's inspirational motto is Zeros for Heroes and Heroes for Zero; it takes a Hero to be a Zero and a Zero to be a Hero
