Daniel is a Psychologist working in the third sector since 2004, currently the Monitoring and Evaluation manager at Coalition PLUS, based in Lisbon, and a Global Public Health PhD student. Daniel has been working in the field of HIV, viral hepatitis and STI with GAT (Portugal) since 2011 in both project management and policy/advocacy. He is an EATG member, co-chair of EuroTEST, member of the European Testing Week working group, and one of the representatives from Portugal in the EU CSF on HIV, AIDS, viral hepatitis and Tuberculosis. He is part of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control's Dublin Declaration monitoring advisory group, the World Health Organization's Regional office for Europe European Laboratory Initiative, and has collaborated in guideline development and as an expert in multiple technical meetings of both organizations.
