Dr. Quy has been participating in research as a clinical doctor in the Infectious Diseases Department of Children’s Hospital No.1 in Ho Chi Minh City over the past 15 years. Currently, as the Head of the Infectious Diseases Department, they have a patient load of more than 370 children with HIV/AIDS that they are caring for and he is also engaging in a study on early diagnosis of tuberculosis in children with HIV. Dr. Quy is particularly interested in this program. In his clinical practice, he has taken care of and treated children with HIV/AIDS for more than 15 years. Appreciating the need to better understand HIV/AIDS and how best to clinically manage it, he has participated in numerous studies investigating HIV in children.
Dr. Quy has actively participated in TREAT Asia network activities under IeDEA for more than 10 years and involved in different research projects such as TApHOD, TASER-Pediatrics and the ACASI study, and the HPV in Adolescents Study and acted as his site co-investigator.
Dr. Quy is well-suited to assume all research responsibilities for this network. This program also helps his junior staff learn about research management and data analysis and gives them the opportunity to write and co-author papers.
