Ebunoluwa Aderonke Adejuyigbe works as a Professor of Paediatrics at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and as a Consultant Paediatician at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She has served in various capacities both nationally and internationally including as Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, member of the OAUTHC Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative and later chairman of the committee. She has served as a member of many WHO Guideline Development Committees including the Breastfeeding Counselling and STAGED KMC groups. She was the President of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Osun State and currently the Vice-President of the African Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Co-Chair of the National Child Health Technical Working Committee. She has been involved in multicountry collaborative studies which have led to global paradigm-shifting guidelines resulting in improvement in neonatal and child health. She is currently the Principal Investigator for several World Health Organization coordinated studies including the BRANCH (a randomized trial on Nutritional management of growth faltering in infants aged under six months in Asia and Africa) trial. Her research interests include neonatology, breastfeeding and Paediatric HIV infection and finding novel approaches to managing childhood illnesses in poor resource settings. She is well published with over 100 publications.
Ebunoluwa Aderonke Adejuyigbe has three daughters who were exclusively breastfed for six months.
