Eileen F. Dunne, MD, MPH, FIDSA, CAPT USPHS, is the Clinical Research Site (CRS) Leader, Silom Community Clinic, and the Director of the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention’s CDC HIV/STD Research Program in Bangkok, Thailand. She has been the Clinical Research Site (CRS) Leader as a part of the Emory CDC CTU since 2018. She is the Site Investigator of Record for HPTN 083 and MTN 026, and she has been on the HPTN Sexual and Gender Minority Scientific Committee (SGM SC) since 2016. Dr. Dunne has led research on HIV and STD prevention for over 22 years. Prior to her position with the HIV/STD Research Program in Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Dunne led efforts for development of HPV vaccine recommendations and vaccine impact monitoring for over 13 years in the Division of STD Prevention, CDC.
Dr. Dunne has been on the HPV Committee of the IDSA Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Opportunistic Infections in HIV-Infected Adults and Adolescents, since 2013, and she was on the HPV Vaccine Workgroup for the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices from 2005-2014. Dr. Dunne led the development of Recommendations for HPV and Genital Warts, STD Treatment Guidelines, in 2006, 2010 and 2015. Dr. Dunne has led or co-led over 100 peer-reviewed publications.
