Elliot Tapper, MD is Associate Professor at the University of Michigan where he holds the Margaret Gyetko Endowment and Directs the Michigan Cirrhosis Program. He is Editor-in-Chief of Hepatology Communications. His research focuses on the improvement of quality of life for people living with cirrhosis and is funded by NIH, PCORI, and industry. He is probably best known for his presence on LiverTwitter where he seeks to dissemenate research, improve knowledge of hepatology, and build community.
