Emily Thi, Ph.D., is the Senior Director of Immunobiology and Biomarkers Research at Arbutus Biopharma where she leads the immunology, preclinical in vivo pharmacology and clinical biomarkers support for Arbutus’ discovery and clinical development programs. Prior to Arbutus, Dr. Thi was in the research group at Tekmira Pharmaceuticals and led the discovery of siRNA antiviral therapeutics against various viral targets including hepatitis B and hemorrhagic fever viruses.
Dr. Thi received her Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada, and her Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, in the field of host-pathogen interactions and immunology in infectious diseases.
