Erick Michael Mbuguje,MD is an Interventional Radiologist and Head of section at Muhimbili National Hospital, Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
He obtained his Medical Doctor (MD), Masters of Medicine (Radiology) and Master of Science Super specialization in Interventional Radiology degrees from the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in 2011, 2019 and 2021 respectively. A member of Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT), the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professional Council (MRIPC), a trainee member of Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), and represent Tanzania in the Society of African Interventional Radiology and Endovascular Therapy (SAFIRE).
He is a co-founder of Road2IR foundation which participated in establishment of the first Interventional Radiology training programs in East Africa.
He is a co-founder of Tanzania Liver Cancer group which also organized the First Liver Cancer Conference in Tanzania March 2023.He is also a member of National Hospital Multidisciplinary Liver Cancer Tumor Board.
