Yi-Chi Chiu was the coordinator of The People Living with HIV Stigma Index research in Taiwan in 2017. He now works in Persons with HIV/AIDS Rights Advocacy Association of Taiwan (PRAA) which is the first nonprofit, self-help organization set up by and for PLHIV, along with family, friends, and HIV advocates in Taiwan.
He is also a member of Youth Asian Community for AIDS Treatment and Advocacy (Youth ACATA), which is a leadership development program held by TREAT Asia to encourage youth advocacy around HIV in the Asia-Pacific region. By capacity building, this program aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge of the psycho-social, economic, cultural and HIV issues pertaining to the lives of young people living with HIV, and also to enhance participants’ understanding of the role and importance of community and key population engagement in research for promoting programmatic and policy changes in the future.
