Ghassan Wali obtained his MBBS in Medicine and Surgery from University of King Abdul Aziz University KAAU. He did a fellowship in Clinical Management of HIV/AIDS at the Center for Excellence in HIV/AIDS at University of British Colombia UBC.
He is currently the Head of the section of Infectious Diseases at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Jeddah. He is also Medical Director of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease & HIV/AIDS.
His areas of expertise are management of HIV/AIDS patients including patients with complex resistant HIV, infectious disease in transplant patients, patients with fever of unknown causes, and patients with hepatitis B&C, including patients with HIV/HCV co-infection.
