Dr Giovanni Guaraldi is Full Professor of Infectious disease at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy).
He leads the Modena HIV Metabolic Clinic which is a multidisciplinary people centered clinic, where 4500 PLWH have been evaluated for comorbidities and frailty, in a multidimensional description of aging trajectories.
In 2000 he founded a large liver and kidney transplant program for PLWH and more recently a long-COVID clinic where 1500 people are in charge.
In 2020 he was involved in early studies addressing treatment of acute SARS COV2 infection and he started a multidisciplinary LongCOVID clinics where approximatively 1500 people with PASC are followed up.
Dr. Guaraldi has widely published (over 500 papers) on various clinical aspects of infectious disease treatment and care.
He is a panel member of the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) guidelines.
