Gustavo Lopardo, MD

Biography

Professor of Infectious Diseases, in the University of Buenos Aires Infectious Diseases Clinical Consultant, Hospital Municipal Dr Bernardo Houssay de Vicente López and FUNCEI. 

Former President of the Argentinean Society for Infectious Diseases, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Current Vice President of the Panamerican Association of Infectious Diseases.

For more than 30 years, he has been involved in many aspects of infectious disease management, including the clinical care of patients, lecturing, and clinical research. His special areas of interest are HIV infection and respiratory tract infections, where he has undertaken research.

Since 2019 Prof. Lopardo has been involved in the management and research of COVID-19. 

Member of the advisory board on HIV/AIDS of the Ministry of Health, Argentina.
