Inmaculada holds a Master's in Public Health from the Pasteur-CNAM School in Paris and a PhD in Immunology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. During her postdoctoral tenure, she conducted research on the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative disorders at the Institut Pasteur and the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle Epinière in Paris. Following an internship at the Health Department of the Agence Française de Développement focusing on strengthening healthcare systems in low-income countries, she joined the Agence de la Médecine Préventive, where she provided technical assistance to National Consultative Technical Groups for Vaccination (NITAGs) in LMICs to enhance their capacity. She moved to the International Affairs Direction of the Institut Pasteur to coordinate research programs within their International Network, notably the BIRDY program on antibiotic resistance and various training programs on diagnosis capacity strengthening at Pasteur Institute in Guinea.
Inmaculada joined Inserm in March 2019 as a project officer for Ebola vaccine programs at Reacting. She later transitioned to the newly established ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases, where she managed COVID vaccine-related research activities. Currently, Inmaculada is responsible for the ANRS EID Call for Projects division.
