IT Support

Virology Education is looking for an enthusiastic new colleague for IT support and general program technical assistance to manage our portfolio of international medical education programs, including face-to-face, hybrid, virtual, and online educational initiatives

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

Technical support with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe programs, and website backends such as WordPress and Drupal. You will be co-responsible for the maintenance and performance of these essential programs on a day-to-day basis

  • Assistance and management of programs such as EventsAIR and HubSpot
  • Managing audiovisuals for live and online educational activities. This includes keeping inventory of AV / recording-related materials.
  • Assistance to colleagues with materials in the preparation and execution of our educational activities using the above-mentioned programs.
  • IT-related customer service through email (registration problems, email)
  • Assisting the finance department (creating and checking exports/reports and assisting with invoice management)
  • Webserver management (uploading of materials, checking links, cleanup of old/out-of-date materials)
  • General email inbox management (either forwarding to the relevant department or if possible, assisting yourself, SPAM-management)
  • Backup management
  • Update management (External/Cloud)

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
      • Microsoft Office Suite (In particular: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      • How to troubleshoot Windows 10
      • Adobe programs (in particular: InDesign, Premiere Pro, Captivate)
  • General administration skills (working with remote desktop programs like Central)
  • Experience on website backends (WordPress/Drupal)
  • Experience (or ability to learn) to help with programs such as EventsAIR and HubSpot.
  • Experience with professional video editing is a huge plus
  • General willingness to learn new skills
  • Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic
  • Readiness to work as a team and liaise with colleagues
  • Academic thinking and working level
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Near-native command of English (both verbal and in writing)
  • Excellent communicator
