Jacqueline Kyeyune a dedicated and compassionate peer mother, social worker and community development professional. She has been a pillar of support for numerous young mothers and research participants at the Infectious Diseases Institute in Kampala, Uganda. With seven years of experience in emotional support, counseling, mentorship, community outreach and care in HIV, TB and malaria. she has created a safe and non-judgmental space for research participants to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. emotional support and counseling
Jacqueline has overcome various challenges and has emerged stronger and more resilient finding her way in the research sphere. Her personal experiences have equipped her with the empathy, understanding, and expertise to support her peers.
Part of her achievements include successfully supporting over 700 mothers in accessing healthcare services and research participation, health rights and responsibilities information sharing with up to 40 support groups. She has contributed in research through successful publications.
As a social worker and peer mother, Jacqueline believes that all mothers deserve a supportive community, guidance, and empowerment to thrive. She is committed to creating a safe space for her peers to grow, learn, and overcome challenges together.
