Biography

Jagpreet Chhatwal, PhD is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and associate director at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research is centered in decision science, data analytics, and health economics. He has published 80+ articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Chhatwal’s work has informed several highly-debated questions surrounding the cost-effectiveness of hepatitis C screening, treatments and elimination in different countries. In collaboration with the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he leads the development of multiple publicly available tools for policymakers to inform policies to manage hepatitis C. His work has been featured in leading media such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNBC, MSNBC, and National Public Radio.
