Janneke van de Wijgert, MD PhD MPH, is Professor of Infectious and Immune-mediated Disease Epidemiology in the Julius Center of the University Medical Center Utrecht in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She is currently the Principal Investigator of the RECLAIM adaptive platform trial for post-COVID treatments in the Netherlands, and conducted research on COVID-19 diagnostics, vaccines, and eHealth applications during the recent pandemic. Other research interests include the role of the human microbiome in health and disease, and evaluation of diagnostics, treatments and prevention interventions for various infectious diseases. She recently served as Chief Science Officer for the Dutch Institute for Public Health and the Environment.
