Dr. Jeff Vergales is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his B.S. from the University of Richmond and his M.D. degree from the University of Virginia. He completed residency in Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Clevleand Ohio before completing cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia. He received a Masters Degree in Clinical Investigation and Statistics at the University of Virginia. He has published extensively within pediatric cardiology and has served as clinical data expert for multiple national quality improvement registries. During the COVID pandemic, he has advised local and state-wide educational organizations throughout Virginia in safe reopening. He has also worked with the CDC in implementation best practice for operations of summer camps over the last two years, including serving on the Governor’s task force in Virginia to direct public policy.
