Jintanat Ananworanich, MD, PhD

Biography

Dr. Ananworanich is a pediatrician and immunologist with a broad background in HIV medicine and clinical trials in adults and children.  Her research covers a range of topics including HIV pathogenesis, antiretroviral treatment, neuro AIDS, acute HIV infection and HIV cure. She has authored more than 220 peer-reviewed publications on HIV.  

Dr. Ananworanich was previously the Scientific Deputy Director of HIV-NAT and Director of SEARCH research units at the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center.  In 2014, she joined the US Military HIV Research Program as their Associate Director for HIV Therapeutics Research and continues to work closely with Thailand on HIV cure-related studies. She is part of the IAS Towards HIV Cure Initiative, and the IMPAACT and ACTG cure committees.
