Job Odoyance Akuno

Biography

Job Odoyance Akuno is currently the Senior Manager of Adolescents and Youth Health & Strategic Partnerships and also the Chair of the Adolescent Technical Committee of Practice in Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation in Kenya. Job has over 15 years’ experience and engagement with global Adolescents and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy and Programming. Job started his career at the Mombasa Youth Counselling Centre as a youth peer educator in promoting delayed sexual activity and healthier behavior among adolescents and young people. Job is among the team that developed the global Partnership for HIV Free Generation, a PEPFAR Flagship that worked with MTV to create Shuga- a short series that addresses adolescents and youth sexuality. He is globally recognized for pioneering Moonlight HIV Testing for key and underserved populations. Mr. Akuno is experienced in Human Centred Design, Socio-ecologic Models, Social and Strategic Behaviour Change Communication and has been a trainer and facilitator in many national programs. He is an Alumni of the United States of America’s International Visitors Leadership Program and has academic background in Education and Public Policy Analysis.
