Prof. Krzysztof Simon, MD, PhD, regional consultant of infectious diseases for Lower Silesia, Poland, is currently Head of the I Department of Infectious Diseases Reg. Specialistic Hospital in Wrocław, and Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology, Wrocław Medical University. Author and co-author more than 350 scientifical papers, principal investigator for many international trials. His current fields of clinical and scientifical interest include many aspects of infectious diseases, liver diseases particulary viral origin, liver fibrosis and cirrhosis and its complications, HCC and HIV/AIDS.
