Lidice Lopez-Tocon has a degree in Social Psychology, with studies in Human Rights. Lidice has a professional experience in the field of community development and communications, mainly in the response to the HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis epidemics in Latin America and has extensive experience on promotion of access to essential medicines.
Lidice is currently the Coordinator of Key Correspondents LAC team, a communication initiative launched more than ten years ago. She is based in Lima, Peru, and works at regional level in Latin America and the Caribbean, with deep interest on HIV response and human rights of people most affected by the epidemic.
Lidice works with partners from communities, governments and bilateral and multilateral agencies on strengthening CBOs and their participation on decision making processes.
