With a growing number of online projects, we are looking for someone to join our team as a Livestreaming Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of several programs, supported by the project and communications teams.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities Will Be:
Running virtual events on the backend using vMix switching software. You will be coordinating with project managers on how events look and what is possible within the system.
Running online events through vMix, including but not limited to:
- Setting up and switching between different feeds
- Setting up and using speaker titles
- Possible integration with social media
- Managing speakers on video call
- Checking audio feeds
- Able to set up livestreams / Zoom webinars as preparation
- Managing audiovisuals for live and online educational activities. This includes keeping inventory of AV / recording-related materials.
- Capable of setting up and running a backup-stream in case the main one fails.
- Ensuring recordings are made of the events and that these are stored properly
- Helping with the recording of presentations ahead of time and editing them where necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experoence:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- vMix or other encoder software (e.g. OBS Studio)
- Good general IT, Windows, and other computer-related skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere is a plus
- Work well under pressure and ability to troubleshoot under these conditions
- General willingness to learn new skills
