Marcelo J Wolff R., MD, FACP, FIDSA is an Internist, and an infectious disease especialist. He graduated from the University of Chile School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at The Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City and infectious diseases at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, USA
After postgraduate training he retook his position in the medical school he graduated from, eventually becoming full professor of medicine. He organized the infectious disease unit at the San Borja Arriaran Hospital and has been its chair since its creation. In 1991, he and 3 others cofounded Arriaran Foundation: Center for comprehensive care of HIV disease, the largest HIV care center in the country.
He has been the professor in charge of the postgraduate training program in adult infectious diseases of the University of Chile School of Medicine with 35 graduates as of 2017.

Member of the Chilean Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Wolff is active in clinical research in HIV disease having played the role of local principal investigator at Chilean site in significant research as the SMART, START, Encore and Second Line studies.
