Marina Pontello Cristelli is a Nephrologist graduated from the Federal University of São Paulo and post graduated from the University of Barcelona.
Over more than 15 years of experience, she has specialized in renal transplantation and its infectious and non-infectious complications.
Her line of research emphasizes the special population of people living with HIV, with six articles published in international journals on this topic, covering the aspects of kidney disease and the peculiarities after transplantation.
For eight years, she was coordinator of the post transplantation outpatient unit. Since 2019, she leads the Telehealth project in Renal Transplantation at the Hospital do Rim in São Paulo.
Currently, she also coordinates the assistance and research in COVID-19 and coronavirus vaccination initiatives in kidney transplant patients at the institution. On this topic, she has 19 articles published in international journals, covering epidemiology, evolution, therapeutic strategies and vaccine response.
