Mario Peribañez-Gonzalez, MD, PhD

Biography

Dr. Peribañez-Gonzalez graduated in Medicine from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1993). Did his medical residency in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases at the Instituto de Infectologia Emílio Ribas (1996), where he now works professionally in clinical care and research on the following topics: HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, HIV/HCV Co-Infection and the use of integrative approaches in HIV/AIDS. aids. 

He is a Fellow in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona (2012). He has a PhD in Science in Gastroenterology from the University of São Paulo (2016). He works in private practice in his own office and is a registered Physician at Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and Hospital Samaritano. 

He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Infectious Diseases and has participated in the board of Paulista Society of Infectious Diseases from 2013 to 2018. He takes part in the Viral Hepatitis Committee of the Brazilian Society of Infectious Diseases since 2018.
