Mathias Lichterfeld, MD, PhD

Biography

Mathias Lichterfeld is an infectious disease physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also an Associate Member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and of the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard, both in Cambridge, MA and a member of the Joint Research Center for Human Retrovirus Infection, Kumamoto, Japan. His work focuses on development of novel technologies for analyzing and targeting HIV-1 reservoir cells, and on clinical trials to reduce HIV-1 persistence in adults and neonates.
