Matteo Rosselli, MD, PhD

Biography

Matteo specialized in Internal Medicine at Florence Medical University in 2011. During his specialisation he trained in hepatology and clinical ultrasound developing a specific interest in non-invasive assessment of liver disease as well as in the management of the critically ill.

He worked as a consultant physician in Internal medicine, and acute and emergency medicine until 2012. From 2013 to 2017 he worked at the Institute for Liver and Digestive Health, University College of London - Royal Free Hospital where he established his expertise and gained experience in interventional ultrasound. In the summer of 2017 he moved back to Italy where he works as a Consultant Physician in Internal Medicine and Clinical Ultrasound in the High Complexity Unit in the Hospital of San Giuseppe, Empoli. He maintains an active academic collaboration with the University College of London where since 2017 he holds the position of Honorary Associate Professor for the Institute of Liver and Digestive Health. He is actively involved in the tutoring and training in clinical ultrasound of medical students, postgraduate doctors, and consultants.

He is the founder, director, and organizer of the International Hepatology Ultrasound Course at UCL - Royal Free Hospital, has been a lecturer at the Euroson School and EASL 2018 and 2022 as well as lecturer and chairman at the World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology Congress in 2022.
