After her board certification in internal medicine in the United States, Mayssam Nehme joined the Division of Primary Care Medicine at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in 2016, where she currently still is as the head of the epidemiology unit and coordinator of the post-COVID consultation.
With a strength in the coordination of care, she led the CoviCare program at the Geneva University Hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, for remote follow-up and outpatient care of patients with COVID-19. From this experience, was born the post-COVID consultation that Dr Nehme currently coordinates, as well as several research projects on post-COVID, and RAFAEL the online information platform on post-COVID (www.rafael-postcovid.ch). Dr Nehme is also currently the study coordinator for a randomized controlled trial at the Geneva University Hospitals testing treatment options for post-COVID patients, under the direction of Pr. Idris Guessous.
