Mr. Meng-Yu Ke is an HIV case manager who holds a Master’s degree from the Department of Life Sciences and Institute of Genome Sciences at National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan.
He began working at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in 2019 as a research assistant, where he was involved in data collection for the program of TREAT Asia HIV Observational Database and other HIV-related research. In 2022, upon recommendation from an attending infectious disease visiting staff, he became an HIV case manager. In that same year, he passed the HIV case manager certification examination and obtained the qualification certificate.
Mr. Ke and the HIV case manager team at Taipei Veterans General Hospital have developed a comprehensive management system for transitioning patients to long-acting injectable therapy. This system, which includes case enrolment, long-acting treatment introduction, and follow-up care, was established through extensive literature review and repeated clinical practice.
