Michael is a board-certified medical doctor and internist with a research interest in hepatology and viral hepatitis. In his current position at Janssen, Michael is the medical leader of JNJ-3989 (siRNA) and related development programs for chronic hepatitis B and D. Previously he held positions in Janssen Medical Affairs and IDV R&D as medical lead for early and late development programs for the treatment of hepatitis C and B.
Prior to joining Janssen Pharmaceutica in 2013, Michael served as investigator in more than 100 clinical studies in the field of hepatology at the University Hospitals of Hamburg, Berlin, and Leipzig (Germany).
