Dr. Giles is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Department of Infectious Diseases at Monash University. She completed her PhD on the topic of HIV, Women and Reproduction in Australia and works clinically as an Infectious Diseases physician with an interest in infections in pregnancy. She is Director of the Infections in Pregnancy service at Monash Health, runs three antenatal infectious diseases clinics and is the medical lead for the state-wide Maternal and Paediatric HIV Program in Victoria, Australia. Associate Professor Giles is also the HIV physician leading an assisted reproductive program for couples affected by HIV. Her current research interests include blood borne viruses and pregnancy, reproductive health and maternal immunisation.
